During The Real Houswives of Orange County Season 18, Episode 3, Gina Kirschenheiter and Katie Ginella were joined by a special guest at lunch: The one and only Sutton Stracke from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The 'Wives got lunch and dished on some juicy topics, including the surprising connection between Sutton and Gina.
So, how did this trio in particular end up having a girls' day out? Gina explained it all.
"Katie and I met through Sutton," Gina said in an interview during the episode. "Katie was moving to Orange County, and [Sutton] knew that I was a real estate agent, so she connected the two of us."

In the same interview, Gina described how she and the RHOBH 'Wife got to know each other in the first place. "I know Sutton because Sutton's ex-husband is the president of the mutual fund company where Matt formerly worked," she stated.
Well, asked and answered! It turns out the RHOBH and RHOC cast members' ex-husbands once worked together.
Next, the conversation turned to RHOC newcomer Katie — a native of Georgia, like Sutton herself — and what she perceived as a possible strain between herself and Heather Dubrow.
"Sutton is very outspoken, and she owns it," Katie observed in her interview, adding, "I actually really appreciate that about somebody." So between the "Georgia girls" connection and Sutton's social butterfly nature, Katie felt she was the right person to have weigh in on the brewing situation with Heather.
The mom of four explained that she had briefly seen Heather at Sutton's annual Christmas party, and had what she felt was an awkward encounter. When Katie followed Heather on social media afterwards, she woke up the next day to find she'd been tagged in a post Heather had shared to Instagram, although she wasn't in the photo. At Heather's Wishing Wall party in January, however, the vibe between them was polite and normal.
"I do want to know her, and give her the benefit of the doubt," Katie continued in her confessional, "But she's playing two different roles with me, and I don't know which one is the real one."
Sutton, friends with all three women, listened to Katie's explanation, and then delivered some words of wisdom. "What did that woman say?" she asked rhetorically, quipping, "If a pig walks into the kitchen, I'm making bacon."
"So don't be the pig walking into the kitchen," Sutton advised Katie. "Or you're gonna get ate!"
