Taraji P. Henson is not afraid to change up her coif. When we spoke to the actress's hairstylist, Tym Wallace, he walked us down a hair-centric memory lane that was paved with sleek braids, Rapunzel-length ponytails, and center-parted bobs.

So perhaps it's no surprise that the star used the red carpet at last night's 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards to show off yet another look—and this one prooves yet again that blonde is big for summer.

Taraji walked the carpet in a golden dress by Emilio Pucci. She capped the glittering style with a blunt, blonde bob that was parted to the side, and wore a fuchsia swipe of MAC's Viva Glam lipstick. (Remember: Taraji is tight with the cosmetics brand.)

Whether this is a wig or a genuinely new 'do, we're not entirely sure. (We've been burned before!) But, there's no doubt that Taraji had a lot of fun being blonde last night. The upbeat actress was all smiles. She even had some time to get cozy with her queen-of-chic girlfriend, Tracee Ellis Ross, who wore a printed robe by Rosie Assoulin. Can you even handle all the gleaming stiletto?

The shoes paired perfectly with Taraji's gilded popcorn award, which she picked up for her role in Hidden Figures. The award category was "Fight The System," and the actress delivered a passionate acceptance speech.

When she was growing up, Taraji shared, she was under the impression that science and math were subjects for men to tackle. Then, she received the Hidden Figures script."It became my mission, and everyone's mission who was involved with this film, to dispel that myth, so that another young girl would not grow up thinking that her mind wasn't capable of grasping math and science. If it were not for these women, we wouldn't be in space." Is Taraji not out of this world?
