Aww, Julianne Hough's New Hair Color Is Inspired by Her Own Baby Photos

The dancer and actress showed off a lighter 'do.

Newlywed Julianne Hough has been rocking a light shade of blonde for quite some time. The hue, along with her bubbly personality, is something of a trademark for the former Dancing With The Stars judge. But, for her latest beauty transformation, Hough has dyed her hair lighter than ever before. Well, not ever before, really — the star's new hair color is the exact same hue she had as a baby! 

Hough's stylist Riwana Capri shared a snap of the new style, along with a description of its cute backstory. Explaining that Hough's new tresses are the lightest they've been since the actress was just a year old, Capri wrote that she's dubbed the beachy color "Baby Blonde." 

To all you hairstylist, for the first time ever, @JulesHough is a #bleachandtone! ✨🎨✨ Which is pretty much back to her roots, to when she was 1! So we are calling this color #BabyBlonde 👶🏼 Ha! I’ve gotten asked manyyyy times in the past if she is all over bleached, and the answer has always been no, until a few weeks ago. She is playing #BettyBrosmer, who was the one of the biggest cover girl models of her time in the 1950s. She created #ShapeMagazine after years of helping women with confidence and tips to be healthy and fit. 💪🏻 This role couldn’t be more fitting for my beautiful, athletic, health conscious friend, don’t you think? Capri went on to reveal that she has never bleached her star client's hair — until now. The decision to go uber-light was inspired by Hough's latest role: she'll play Betty Brosmer, the 1950's cover girl who was also a bodybuilder, fitness expert, and regular contributor to Shape magazine. 

We can't wait to see Hough play such an inspiring woman, and we love the style inspiration she's giving us as she preps for the role.
