Ivanka Trump is known for many things, including her fashion sense. So, it's not surprising that the shoe mogul would gravitate toward the kind of "It" jewelry brand that stars like Queen Bey adore. What is unusual is the card Ivanka received from Lady Grey after (apparently) ordering the brand's Helix Ear Cuff online.

The brand posted a photo to its Instagram account last night, chronicling the dainty looking note that accompanied Ivanka's shipment. "Dear Ivanka," it read. "Thank you so much for your web order! We're happy to let you know that the proceeds of your sale have been generously donated to The American Immigration Council, the Everytown for Gun Safety organization, and the Hillary Clinton campaign." The side-eye emjoi was implied.

Naturally, the stunt drummed up a lot of comments, ranging from "This is awesome!" to questions regarding Lady Grey's ethics, from both sides of the aisle. "I despise Trump," one commenter said. "But [I] would never violate the privacy of any of my customers. Ever. Nor should they, as stated in their business practices. Lawsuit waiting to happen." And to think. All Ivanka wanted was an ear cuff.
