Jill Kargman is Not Morbid—She Just Loves Skulls

The Odd Mom Out star also digs frilly canopy beds.

If there's one thing Odd Mom Out has taught us, it's that a wardrobe of black leather should not preclude bows. The series' star and writer Jill Kargman has a fierce sense of style—consider us captivated—and she recently chatted about it with Architectural Digest.

Jill said that her taste in decor is similar to her taste in fashion. "I feel like my home is kind of like the way I dress," she said. "It's kind of naughty and nice at the same time." Jill never shies away from skulls, and she owes her fascination with them to the Dutch tradition of vanitas. It basically means "you can't take it with you," Jill explained. "So I don't see it as morbid. I see it as really life affirming."

But, she's also pro girly frills. Not only does Jill embrace bows (just watch the show—you'll see!), she also has a floral canopy bed IRL that she refers to as her "center of life." Skull-bow balance. We dig it.
