Remember the Sweatpants Everyone Was Obsessed With? They Come in Shorts Now, Too
Hurry up, they're not going to last!
We introduced you to Public Rec back in January, when the company’s All Day Every Day Pant was sold out and had racked up a waitlist 1,500-people deep. Founded by former investment banker Zach Goldstein via a Kickstarter campaign, the e-tailer today sells only six items—which now includes the All Day Every Day Short.
Based on the same ethos that led to the pants’ cult-following—“These are nicer than a pair of sweatpants!” Goldstein told us earlier this year—the shorts are made from the same moisture-wicking nylon/spandex fabric and come in waist sizes, rather than small, medium, large. Available since late June, the All Day Every Day Short is Public Rec’s best product launch to date, with more than half of the inventory for the year sold in just one month. “We haven’t sold this much of any other product this fast since our pants,” Goldstein told us.
Hype aside, we love the shorts for multiple reasons that dudes everywhere will appreciate. For one, the back pockets are oversized and can handle your keys, wallet and phone without creating a huge butt bump. Second, the front pockets have zippers—’nuf said. Third, a faux-front fly and side panels create a more polished look—yes, these shorts are breathable enough to wear on a run, but refined enough to also wear to your annual neighborhood block party. Find you a short that can do both? We just did.
