If you ever thought that Real Housewives of New York City pal Dorinda Medley looks like the iconic Princess Diana, you’re not alone. The Housewife’s uncanny resemblance to the royal figure has been a topic of discussion amongst fans since Dorinda joined the show, and even Andy Cohen has weighed in on the matter.
Dorinda has heard comments about her royal doppelgänger as well, and she took that feedback straight to the salon chair. “People kept saying I had a face like Princess Diana, so I cut my hair like Princess Diana,” Dorinda told The Lookbook. The Housewife also told us that, when she was living in London, tourists would often mistake her for the royal figure.
In fact, word of Dorinda’s royal resemblance spread so much that even Princess Diana heard about it! “She even came up to me once and said, ‘I heard that you’re my doppelgänger,’ Dorinda said.
Aside from its royal ties, Dorinda has found that her short ‘do perfectly fits her persona and style. “It suits me,” she said. “I think it’s empowering, it’s very stylish and it’s comfortable.”
