Sarah Silverman Told Ivanka Trump She'd Better Step Up For Women

Will Ivanka listen?

By Personal Space Staff

Sarah Silverman is never shy when it comes to politics. She fights for the left, and always speaks up on issues she cares about, especially women’s issues. And she wants first daughter Ivanka Trump to do the same.

On a new episode of Chelsea Handler’s Netflix show, Chelsea, she, Sarah, and Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards discussed the defunding of Planned Parenthood. Sarah revealed that after Donald Trump was put in office, she direct-messaged Ivanka on Twitter, advising her to stand up for women, since her father was not doing the job.

“What role does Ivanka play in all this?” Chelsea asked. Cecile, who had met with Ivanka to speak to her about PP, said, “I think Ivanka’s job now is that she’s in charge of all women’s issues… but so far the White House has been a total zero on women and women’s health.”

Sarah piped in, “I actually saw that she follows me on Twitter. I direct-messaged her and I was like, ‘This is your chance. You’re writing your life story here!’”

No reply yet from Ivanka, but solid try for Sarah!
