Has Margaret Josephs Finally Finished Her Home Renovation?

Last season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Margaret Josephs shared the painfully long process of renovating two adjacent properties, which crawled along at a snail's pace partially because her husband, Joe Benigno, wouldn't allow her to hire an outside contractor, since he was once her contractor on a project. (Backstory: She ended up leaving her first husband for Benigno!)

Surely, they're done fixing it all up by now — right? Right?

"Ask me if it’s done — it’s not," Margaret told Home & Design. "What you didn’t see is that I own the lot next door, also. So we’ve been in the process of trying to sell the lot next door because the deal was when we moved in is I’m selling part of my land, we had sub-divided it, and then finish renovating the house. So it’s not even close to done, I’m still living in my closet. And when you’re sleeping with the contractor and you’re the girlfriend, you get a lot done. When you’re married to the contractor you get s*** done."

Even though they're still working on everything, a clear favorite room has already emerged.

"My favorite room in my house right now is probably my dining room, because that’s the only thing that looks semi-done, which is half my living room slash dining room...  or my ballroom. Even though it’s not done and it’s empty, it’s a magnificent room. I happen to love my house, it’s old and fabulous, but it still needs its renovation."

She also revealed that her ballroom still has her 50th birthday party decorations hanging up.

"We haven’t done anything to it," Margaret told us. "I threw my Christmas party in there last year, I use it as my party room. I use it as a ballroom. I throw incessant parties and I just, like, redecorate it constantly. It’s empty. You know, because that’s what normal people do. Right?"
