It's Official: These Are the 7 Most Over-the-Top Things in Kylie Jenner's Mansion
Cosmetics mogul and Instagram star Kylie Jenner showed off her home recently, and we spotted a few insanely surprising details.
Kylie Jenner opened the doors to her spectacular Los Angeles home for Architectural Digest, and ever since it hit newstands we’ve been studying it like Hermione Granger. Designed by decorator to the stars Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who also styled homes for Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, the home is anything but staid. Think gold-leafed ceilings, neon sculptures, condom art, an acrylic grand piano, and a designer surfboard, and you get the picture. Nonetheless, the place also comes equipped with enough sought-after vintage furniture to make any interiors maven’s mouth water — hello, Milo Baughman sofa — not to mention of-the-moment glam, custom pieces, and enough serious art to fill a gallery.
"I told Martyn I wanted a fresh, fun vibe to match the way I was feeling,” Kylie revealed to AD. The burgeoning billionaire cosmetics and reality TV mogul definitely got that.
“The look is glamorous but totally inviting,” Bullard added. “Kylie loves to have people over, and there’s nothing so precious that you can’t stand, jump, or dance on it.” Good, 'cause she's only 21 years old, right?
And though people are making a fuss over the tricked-out pink glam room (see above) and her extensive handbag collection, our eagle eyes spotted a few things even more over the top... such as the following:
About Those Dining Room Chairs
The insane modern leather chairs in Kylie's dining room were custom-dyed to match colors from Kylie’s lipstick collection, ranging from pale pink to deep garnet.
That's Not Your Average Hammock
There’s a $48,000 hammock by Jim Zivic for Ralph Pucci hanging in her family room in case anyone needs a quick nap.
Her Taste in Art Is Pretty Great
The stunning art work in her living room is by Jean-Michel Basquiat. The signed, limited-edition print sells for more than $50,000.
Don't Expect Solo Cups When It's Time for a Party
She may only be 21, but she drinks Champagne from $570 Baccarat flutes.
Her Tribute to Her Daughter Is Super Sweet
We all love to hang pictures of butterflies for our kids, but the ones lining the walls of Kylie’s dining room are by world-renowned British artist Damien Hirst.
Even the Kitchen Has Bling
The stunning chandelier in the kitchen was inspired by precious jewels — and costs upward of $14,000.
Good Taste Runs in the Family
The Tracey Emin neon sign that hangs in Kylie's bar area reads: “I Can’t Believe How Much You Love Me.” Mom Kris Jenner and sister Kendall Jenner also have versions by the same artist in their homes.
