So the motto goes, Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, and that's just where Jennifer Lawrence tries to go — at least in her mind's eye — when she's gripped by her notorious fear of flying. The Red Sparrow star recently came clean about how she deals with travel woes, and the technique is surprisingly cute for an actress who comes across as a major badass (though often reveals her adorkable side too).
When chatting with Vanity Fair, the Oscar winner gave props to a fellow actress for helping her feel soothed in flight. "Thank you, Emma Watson, for Beauty and the Beast,” she said. “I’ve seen it six or seven times [on airplanes]. If anybody has any questions about it, come to me.”
It makes sense that J.Law would feel a bit queasy about air travel. Last year, the actress was flying on a private plane when its engine failed. The aircraft had to make an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York. And though the star was physically unharmed, the incident would be enough to rattle even the toughest travelers.
Thankfully, Lawrence now knows that she can count on a lovable beast and a stunning yellow dress to distract her from anxious thoughts when she's in the air. We'd have pictured her sipping on some straight-up scotch, so we're totally charmed by this softer side of the star.
