The Kardashian-Jenners Flew Private to Coachella, Which Is a Thing Now

Coachella has become an oasis of bougie perks — and Kardashians — so a 120-mile private flight fits right in.

Picture this: You step off your private, on-demand jet and head to a branded oasis filled with swag. Then, it's time to party hop. First stop: the high-octane "Powered Paradise in the Desert Bash," presented Poppy nightclub, Kylie Cosmetics, and BMW. (This is just a taste of much more Kardashian/Jenner madness to come.)

If you want a little something to nibble on along the way, you're welcome to snacks from chef Curtis Stone — assuming, of course, that you made reservations well in advance.

Have you guessed where you are yet? Surely, this is a five-star trip to Las Vegas, and not a trek to festival that used to be largely selfie-free and all about the music, right? Wrong! This is Coachella 2018, people — and the famous fest has come a long, long way from the times when one would walk miles from a dusty parking lot to hear some tunes, and nibble on a sandwich brought from home as sustenance. (True story! Uphill both ways, etc...)

As proof that the once earnest, low-frills desert fest has become a celebrity-studded, fully branded bonanza in the past few years, look no farther than the Kardashian/Jenner sisters' Instagram feeds. First, behold the private jet that whisked Kylie Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, and pal Jordyn Woods to Indio, California (high winds be darned).

the wind you guys, is this necessary?

Gigi Hadid also hopped a private jet from private aviation company Wheels Up to head to the fest, and brought some limes along. (Hey, why not?)

And, Lala Kent — who always travels in style — is yet another tastemaker who likes her jets private, and her ride to Coachella super speedy.

But, it's not just celebs that use the friendly-skies route from L.A. to Indio. JetsuiteX, a private-jet-like experience that's available to the public, offered tickets for regular folks to fly the short distance between the Los Angeles area and the desert too. The company advertised: "Travel in style to the desert ... Skip the traffic on the 10 and walk off our jet refreshed and ready for a music-filled weekend."

this is not my outfit

So basically, this sums up the fest in its current iteration: The Kardashian sisters take private jets to Coachella to party alongside stars like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pals, and regular civilians have plenty of options for trying to rock the festival in similarly pampered celeb style.
