Riley Burruss Just Moved into a "Dream" Apartment in New York City
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker share exclusive details about Riley's new digs in a "prime" area of New York.
On March 7, Riley Burruss shared an Instagram Story photo that offered a peek at her "moving day." While The Real Housewives of Atlanta daughter didn't offer more details about her relocation at the time, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker recently opened up to Bravo Insider about Riley's new apartment in the Big Apple.
"She loves it," Kandi shared. After explaining that Riley is now living in a "doorman building" in a "prime area" without a roommate, Todd declared, "Riley is living the New York American dream."
Although the Kandi & The Gang boss is beyond excited about her daughter's new home, she's not exactly thrilled with the way the 19-year-old New York University student is keeping it. "It's a mess," Kandi said. "I was in there trying to help her clean up, that's how bad it was. And mind you, I need somebody to help me clean up... It was a wreck."
Todd, however, was a bit more understanding about Riley's lack of tidiness. "She's young, hanging out. You get home late, dah dah dah," he reasoned. "School, you know."
While we have yet to see Riley's new apartment, in 2019, RHOA viewers got a look at the $5,547-per-month rental she lived in while interning in Manhattan at age 16. The two-bedroom apartment had stunning views, state-of-the-art appliances, and notable building amenities. Although Todd was concerned that Riley may be too young for the luxe arrangement at the time, Kandi felt Riley deserved the high-end temporary digs. "Todd is definitely more strict than me," she said in an episode interview. "Todd is like, 'You're not supposed to have these things at this age!' I'm like, 'As long as you're doing good in school you can have it.'"
