Lala Kent Tearfully Recalls the Moment She Received a Call from Randall Emmett About Her Dad's Accident
The Vanderpump Rules SURver breaks down as she opens up about losing her dad and how her brother has stepped up since.
As viewers have seen, Lala Kent was deep in the grieving process during Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules, which has led to some majorly emotional moments. She lost her dad in spring 2018 and after his passing, dealing with such a heavy loss "was such a huge part of my life this summer — just dealing with that."
Now, Lala is opening up in great detail about the chain of events that led to his passing for the first time. She previously revealed that he died following a stroke and a car accident; now she confirmed that fiancé Randall Emmett was the one who called her about the accident. Her father didn't die in the crash; he was hospitalized following the accident and died a month later.
Even today, a year later, she's still dealing with the emotional toll of that loss, revealing in the Vanderpump Rules Season 7 After Show bonus clip above that "my struggle [is] with the fact that my dad is just a memory now and I think that is what f--ks with me a lot."
Lala isn't the only one dealing with her father's death — so is her younger brother, who she gives props to for how much he's matured since their father died. "He's a really incredible person," she said. "To see him grow up as the man of the house and just take care of my mom, he's just like a pretty epic person."
