First and foremost, I want to thank all of the Interns for tuning in last week during Memorial Day weekend to watch Married to Medicine and live tweet with me. Cecil and I also want to thank everyone who sent well wishes for our 18th wedding anniversary. I am humbled by all of the great fans we have and for those who keep me and my family lifted in prayer.
As always, it was great catching up with Jackie on our standing lunch date. It was hilarious to recap all of the shade thrown at Heavenly's dinner party. None of the ladies were too offended by Heavenly's shade fest because we now understand how crazy she is. I always expect the unexpected when I'm dealing with her.
It hurt me to see Jackie go through her mental meltdown this week because of too much pressure at the office. I am glad you get to see that we (doctors) are human too and experience many of the same emotions and hardships in life. Curtis did an excellent job of being gentle about declining the adoption idea at this time.
The Huqs' entry to the princess party was one of my highlights from this season. It was classic Coming to America and I know they arrived from Zamunda. LOL. I was waiting for Prince Akeem to come through the door.
It was so tough telling Mariah the ladies voted against her and Aydin coming with all of us on the couples' trip. I am truly torn on this issue, because I can not understand why my two friends who are grown, educated women can not agree to disagree and still be cordial to each other. I get that Mariah and Quad will never be close friends again but to be unable to coexist at all is DRAINING.
Heavenly came to the princess party in rare form and ready to share her displeasure with Mariah. I am glad Aydin was adamant about not hashing out the details during the party. And let the record show, Aydin was ONLY speaking to Mariah. It appears as if Heavenly snapped on him for no good reason.
It is amazing to me how many people in this circle are experts in rebuking demons and making references to the devil. We do have some cat fights, petty attacks, and loud debates but I don't see any of the ladies amongst me as a devil.
I am so excited about planning the couples' retreat and will continue to strategize a way to get the circle of friends whole again.
