Dr. Jackie Walters has made it very clear — her renovation has been “painful.” Since purchasing her Atlanta home because of its “location, location, location” last year, the The Married to Medicine OBGYN has completely gutted the home, re-fashioning it to her taste and style. But the process hasn’t been an easy one! (Get a full tour of the house in the video above.)

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c and streaming next day on Peacock.

Now that the home is nearly finished, the project has stalled once again. “We almost get to the finish line and what happens? A STATE WIDE 'shelter-in-place,'” Jackie shared in an Instagram video showing the home’s progress. “I’m super excited to have 90% of this project done however our health crisis (COVID-19) moved the finish line. Oh well, I would rather be 90% complete and Healthy than 100% complete and Sick! Though they have been at this project 'forever' (I just don’t understand construction) so what’s a few more days, weeks, months.........'Stay Safe!' Can somebody remind me to me to never do another renovation project again for years?"

Can we discuss the progress on the home’s exterior alone? Formerly a brownish red brick, the home’s facade now features a bold black-and-white color scheme that is totally striking and really highlights the castle-like architecture. In another recent share to her Instagram Stories, Jackie gave a look at the “rear view” of the home and um, it’s spectacular.

Featuring loads of enormous windows and multiple turrets, the back of Jackie’s house overlooks the property’s pièce de résistance: a dark-bottomed pool! Flanked by couches, chaises, and planters, the patio also includes a roofed ramada, perfect for those steamy Atlanta summers.  A grand staircase leads down to the backyard, which is appropriate, because the everything about this space is grand.

 Looking good, Jackie!
