Josh Flagg & Bobby Boyd Co-Listed a Property Amid Their Divorce, but We’ll Let Flagg Explain
The MDLLA agent opened up about teaming up with his ex-husband to sell a $15 million house — and Tracy Tutor shared why it’s a “disaster.”
On the February 2 episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Josh Flagg told Tracy Tutor about his incredible $15 million “turnkey” listing. However, he explained, there was a “caveat”: “It’s co-listed with my soon-to-be ex-husband.”
“Bobby [Boyd] used to work for Josh Flagg Estates,” Flagg explained in an interview. “Then we got divorced, and this Birchwood listing is, figuratively speaking, another item for us to split up.”
Reading our minds, Tracy asked him, “How in the hell did that happen?” and he explained, “I’ve sold several houses for the owner of this property. I put Bobby on those deals. My client is such a nice guy, he says, ‘I don’t feel comfortable unless you have Bobby on it also, because he was involved with the other two deals.’ And I tried to explain to him that we’re not married anymore, and he’s just like, ‘I want Bobby on it too.’”
Tracy was concerned, to say the least. “The best word to use for Josh is ‘delusional,’” she said in an interview. “There is no universe in which this was a good idea. Like, you don’t sign up for a co-list while you are currently going through a gnarly divorce.”
Still, Flagg declared in a separate interview, “I’m not giving this listing up. This is my deal, my client. You think Bobby’s gonna step away from this co-list? Please.”
Tracy warned, “You’re setting yourself up for a complete disaster,” and Josh Altman clearly agreed. During the former couple’s brokers’ open, Altman asked Flagg, “Why the f--k would you do this anyway? Just pay him out 50 percent.” However, Flagg admitted, “It’s my ego.”
“It’s my client. I’m gonna give him the f--king deal? F--k that,” he continued. “He got enough money in the divorce.”
