Katharine McPhee has added Foster to her name after getting married to songwriter David Foster, and her handle has now officially changed on social media, too.

Social media isn't just for business, as far as she is concerned, so she felt like her name should be changed there (to @KatharineFoster), which happened because her new stepdaughter Erin Foster knows someone at Instagram who could make the official change: "I got some Instagram pulls there," she told Extra. (Her old account is now private and directs people to follow her at her new one.)

“I don’t get overly fussy, like, ‘Oh, no, people won’t be able to find me, I won’t get more followers,’" she added. "It’s like, Instagram is like a tool to communicate with your fans, but it’s also a personal thing for me.”

ET asked if she's gotten used to her new name.

"We've been away since we've been married, so not [yet], but I love it," she replied. "I just love the ring of it, so I'm enjoying it."

She explained that she took on his name because, "I'm a romantic. I've always liked the idea that it's still a traditional thing that exists in our society. I like the idea. I think it's romantic and it's a great last name."

They've dismissed critics of their age difference, and are enjoying their love.

"We just love being with each other. There's no arguing, no drama. It's just easy," the singer shared. "That's how it should be."
