Was Teenage Kim Kardashian Already Destined to Be a Lawyer?
Kim Kardashian West plans to take the bar in 2022.
Kim Kardashian plans to take the bar to become a lawyer in 2022 (even though she has a path to the vocation without law school), which sounds like a new-found career choice to some. But the mother of four says she's been interested in legal matters since she was a pre-teen and her father was on O.J. Simpson's "Dream Team."
"The 'Dream Team' would have meetings at my house, and I was always looking through the evidence books and everything,” she recalled to PEOPLE. "Kourtney [Kardashian] would always yell at my like, 'Get out of his stuff! Why do you care?' I was really into it."
Kim would also talk to her father about the infamous trial and about becoming a lawyer one day.
"I learned a lot just from him talking to me about it and his opinions," she said. "He always knew I was really interested in going to law school. He would say it was way too stressful [to be a lawyer] as a full time job, so I’d really have to think about it."
Her mission is simple: “I want to continue to help people that really can’t help themselves.”
Kim's extended family supports Kim's legal career direction.
"Kim's a very smart woman, so I think she'd be a great lawyer," her stepbrother Brody Jenner told TMZ. "I think Kim's just one of those people who can just do anything. She's incredibly bright and smart."
2022 will be here before we know it, and Kim won't have any trouble getting a job if she does become a lawyer.
"You know what? Once she passes the bar, she'll always have a job at my law firm," said Robert Kardashian's former Dream Team partner, Robert Shapiro. "I think she'll be a sensational lawyer. Look what she did with the president of the United States. She got [Alice Marie Johnson] right out of jail. I think she'll be sensational."
