There Are So Many Updates in the Wendy Williams Divorce and None of Them Are Good for Kevin Hunter
The talk-show host has made brisk moves to cut her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, out of her life completely.
In one of the most recent updates we heard on Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter's divorce, Williams had hired extra security to guard her on set while Hunter, who formerly worked as her manager and executive producer, was still around. That news came in at the same time that Charlamagne Tha God alluded to "abuse" that Williams endured in her marriage. And as more updates come in, they're not doing much to redeem Hunter's image or paint a rosy picture of his life after Wendy.
A source told TMZ that even before she served Hunter divorce papers, Williams had secretly hired a team to secure all her finances and to separate her funds from her estranged husband's. The talk-show host has also reportedly signed the lease on a new home of her own in Manhattan.
Previously, Williams lived with Hunter in New Jersey — and it sounds like it was far from domestic bliss. TMZ also reported that police had been sent to the couple's home to do a welfare check on Williams, after a caller alleged that Hunter had been trying to poison her.
Williams has also moved on professionally. Page Six reports that she's just signed producer Bernie Young as her new manager.
