Sonyae's Greatest Hits

Scotty started strong with a winning hook, "No One." The finished song became "No One Again," but unfortunately no one on the judges' panel was feeling it, due to the song's isolating lyrics and cowriter Nevin was the first to exit.

Scotty's a master of danceable pop, so his hook, "Paint This Floor" was a sure pick for Donna Summer. The song morphed slightly and became "Paint This Club With Amazing," a banging jam that had the judges grooving.

Scotty hit the road with Brian and Johnny to help pen the winning travel anthem, "Going Where I Need to Be."

Scotty lent the needed hip hop expertise and operatic ideals to Johnny's track "Walk Thru Walls" helping the super group take the win. (Don't believe us, watch this bonus video of Scotty teaching Johnny how to get his swagger on.)

Though his "Love Me or Not" hook wasn't chosen for Ryan Tedder's romance challenge, Scotty brought the soothing male counterpart to Sonyae's winning track "Love Me to Life."

Though Jewel had some problems with the exact semantics of Scotty's lyrics, the out-of-the-closet anthem "Reign" (and obviously his amazing dance moves) impressed the judges to let his reign near the top of the pack continue.

Scotty's persona doesn't exactly scream country, but his team did their best trying to add the Nashville twang to Jackie's winning hook "Say It Back." And it was his work on the track that managed to keep him from riding off into the sunset.

How do you write a song for Justin Bieber? Focus on your songwriting "assssss-ets." Scotty's more adult hook and track, "Love You Down"imagined what the teen sensation will be doing in a few years, and had the judges feeling the love enough to keep Scotty and Jes another week.

At the insistent of Jewel and Perez Hilton, Scotty abandoned his original hook "DJ Have My Babies" concept and instead opted for a apocolypse anthem about dancing 'til the world ends, "World's Last Spin." The song didn't students fully grooving, but it was worthy of enough spins to land him second place.
