So, Will Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley Ever Get Married?
The RHOC alum/mom-to-be reflects on a decade spent with her fiancé.
It was way back in Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Orange County that Gretchen Rossi popped the question and asked Slade to marry her (video above). Well, all these years later, they have yet to walk down the aisle. And as they prepare to welcome a little baby into their lives, Gretchen has offered an update on if or when she'll officially become Mrs. Slade Smiley as they just clocked a decade together.
"Happy 10 [year] Anniversary my love!" the OC mom-to-be wrote on Instagram. "I cannot believe how fast time flies by! But I have to say it has truly been the best and most magical ten years of my life! "
After gushing all about their romance, she added: "Some will also always ask why we haven’t gotten married, ([and] maybe one day we still will) but the truth is I’m so proud of the fact that we are together because we want to be, not because we feel we have to be. We are committed [and] loyal to one another whether or not we have a marriage license! And sometimes I think that speaks more volumes. Hey it’s worked out well for Goldie and Kurt [as well as] Oprah and Stedman! (But after 10 [years] together I call you my husband anyways. So it doesn’t really matter)."
Gretchen closed out the update with the following sweet tidbit: "Our love is truly one of a kind [and] is hard to find, and I never take that for granted! I love you from the depths of my soul Slade, and will forever."
