Christian Siriano Shares a Sneak Peek at His Upcoming Fashion Week Show
The Bravo's Project Runway mentor is working on some massive pieces for his Fashion Week presentation.
With less than one week to go, it's crunch time for all of the designers presenting at New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020, and that includes Bravo's Project Runway's own Christian Siriano. The trailblazing designer is once again basically living in his studio/boutique, The Curated, in New York City as he prepares for the annual fashion event.
On Wednesday evening, Christian gave us a glance at all the logistics that go into planning a Fashion Week show. Starting with his first casting call, Christian posted several clips of models showing him their fiercest runway strut. The designer, whose shows have drawn in celebs like Cardi B, Debra Messing, and many more, is known for his diverse casting — and by the looks of it, Christian is planning to keep this legacy alive.
Christian's casting call included models of all backgrounds with a variety of features: red hair, curvy, fair skin, deep skin, curly hair, short hair — you name it. And it appears this time around, Christian will also be adding male models into the mix.
After seeing the models walk, Christian went back to focusing on his designs. "Why do I save the big ones for the endddd #almostfashionweek," he captioned a photo of himself working on a dark, sheer fabric. We're guessing this is either a skirt for one of his romantic gown designs or a dramatic cape.
We can't wait to see what Christian brings to the runway next week.
