You'll Never Believe How Much Mike Shouhed Spent on His Refrigerator
The Shahs of Sunset bachelor spent a lot to keep his "water and ice cream" cold.
Mike Shouhed decided to buy a new house after his divorce without even seeing it based on the recommendation of his Shahs of Sunset friend and power real estate agent Reza Farahan, who also told Mike what furnishings to pick up. And since Reza is known for having very expensive taste, we wanted to know what the most expensive item in Mike's new house must be.
"Reza’s the best, right?" Mike told Most Wanted. "So with Reza, he gives you options because he’s done it before. So he’s like, 'Mike, you can get the low end refrigerator, the medium refrigerator, or the high end refrigerator, and we’ll go look at it.' And you know I’m spoiled because I’m like, 'Let’s go with the best refrigerator, we’ll cut on other things.' And then we’ll go look at the dishwasher and then again with the dishwasher, medium, high, low, and then again the highest because it doesn’t make any sound, so all of a sudden I’ve spent like six thousand dollars on a dishwasher. I’ve used it once. Refrigerator was fifteen grand, I swear I use it to stock my water and my ice cream."
That's right folks, $15,000! On a fridge!
Mike admitted that he gravitated towards all the higher end items that Reza recommended to him, only to later notice that Reza didn't always take the same path for his own home.
"It’s insane, but I come from the mentality that the most expensive is the best. Which is not always true because Reza, when he built his house, cut corners on all that stuff. . . It’s like, 'Hey Reza, why did you tell me to buy forty thousand dollar doors and you put twenty thousand dollar doors in your house?' He’s like, 'I told you, you didn’t listen.' And I said, 'No, you should have told me what to do instead of giving me options, because you gave me options.' I’m a sucker for nice stuff."
With all that said, Mike is still super pumped about the end result.
"He was spending my money freely, but it was fun though and I’m excited. I mean, I love my house, it’s great. It has a little feminine touch to it, it’s something that I would have never in my life thought up."
