Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi has been open about her difficultly hearing. In a 2019 Instagram, the Shahs of Sunset cast member shared, "I was born with a rare hearing loss and only have 28 [percent] hearing. And as I've gone through life missing out on many amazing sounds, being able to hear the sound of my baby's heartbeat is truly the most beautiful thing I've ever been able to experience! So grateful!"

More recently, the mom debuted her newest tattoo in honor of her hearing loss. In a December 20 Instagram post, GG shared a peek at the ink, which is a depiction of the "sound off" icon. "More ink!" she captioned her post. "So, one of my MANY super powers is that I'm legally deaf but I read lips to 'hear' people."

In the video's comments, GG noted that she is legally deaf in both ears. She also agreed with a fan's comment about how reading lips when people are wearing face masks isn’t easy. "Masks suck," she said.

This is certainly not the first tattoo for the Shahs of Sunset mama. In a 2017 interview, when asked what GG's "future man" would think of her "Shalom" tattoo, she explained that he might not even notice it because she has "so many tattoos." A year earlier, she got a tattoo on her finger removed since it "got weird looking after so many years."
