It’s been two years since Austen Kroll purchased his Charleston home, and in that time, he has given his lovely four-bedroom, three-bathroom house a bit of an upgrade, thanks to some handy improvements.

Earlier in the year, the Southern Charm-er took to social media to give an update on his abode by sharing before-and-after photos. “Soo once again, I’m almost embarrassed to admit, but I’ve been in my house for almost two years, and my two guest rooms were finally completed by my incredibly talented friend [Rodrigo Reyes]," he wrote over a March 2023 Instagram Story snapshot of one of the bedrooms before it was decorated.

In the photo that followed, Austen's previous bare guest room had been completely transformed with a more modern look, filling the space with dark curtains, a ceiling fan, a white chair, a newly painted green wall color, and other stylish decor.

Now, just months after making big changes to his home, Austen hinted at possibly leaving Charleston when he sat down with BravoTV.com exclusively to offer an update on his life.

Is Austen Kroll leaving Charleston?

“I really, really love my house. I love my location,” Austen states in the video above. He went on to share how he knew the house was the one when he first saw it.

While sharing his favorite qualities about the two-story home, Austen took a moment to reveal he recently sparked interest in looking at new properties.

“Now that I’ve been there and I’m getting some renovations done on it… I can’t help but think about other real estate and maybe like, what the life outside of downtown Charleston holds for me,” Austen says.

Although Austen didn’t give any specific details as to why he plans to look at new real estate, he did mention a few career goals he hopes to accomplish soon.

“Current career bucket list item is getting Trop Hop nationwide and then trying to open up a bar in Charleston,” he reveals. “I’ve always wanted to open a bar here.” (Watch the video above to hear more about Austen's life updates!)

Trop Hop Beers isn’t the only business that is keeping Austen busy. In fact, Austen partnered with his Southern Charm castmate Craig Conover to open their NYC restaurant, Carriage House.

Back in March 2023, Austen shared the opening date of the West Village restaurant with his followers via an Instagram Story, writing, “Y’all it’s happening. My long-anticipated opening of my first foray into the restaurant business.” He added, “[Carriage House NYC] is opening its doors next week, 3/29! See you there!”

Austen and Craig originally announced their Carriage House business venture in August 2022. The restaurant is spearheaded by chef/owner Chris Maier, owner/operator Philip Testa, and restaurateur/TV personality Jordan Andino.
