Craig Conover Is “Finally” Back in His House After Major Asbestos Issue

On Season 7 of Southern Charm, Craig Conover opened up about the “exhausting” situation that led him to temporarily move in with Austen [Kroll]. “Ten months ago, I was living in literally a house decorated by a professional decorator, and I really felt like an adult. It was amazing,” he said at the time. “Then a plumber came for a routine checkup, and there was a broken pipe. Asbestos got blown all over my house, and now I cannot live there until the asbestos is gone.”

Now, as Craig revealed on the June 23 Season 8 premiere of the show, the issue has been resolved. “I am finally back into my house, my real house,” he said in an interview. “It’s been remediated of all asbestos.” (Press play on the video above to get a tour of the home.)

“Things are just going really well,” he added. “I couldn’t be happier.” 

As Craig was “working on the house” during the episode, he showed his girlfriend, Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo, some of the improvements he was making — and she was very impressed. “I put all this floor down,” he said on their FaceTime call, to which she exclaimed, “No way!”

Meanwhile, Paige had her own task in mind for her next visit. “I think I was born to organize closets,” she said while looking at Craig’s walk-in. “Well,” he responded, “you have a lot of organizing to do in here.”

After finally resolving the issues at his house, it seems Craig has no plans to move out of the home as he continues his long-distance relationship with Paige. While discussing who might relocate to the other person’s city one day, Paige recently shared, “I think that, if and when the time comes, it would be me moving to Charleston.” Craig added, “We don’t have to make a decision about really moving somewhere until we have kids.”
