Madison LeCroy Just Made a Notable Beauty Change: “I Don’t Even Recognize Myself”
The Southern Charm beauty buff tried out a new style, and it’s entirely unfamiliar to her.
Fun fact: Madison LeCroy recently experimented with fake nipple rings, just to get a rise out of her husband. (His reaction was priceless, though the $7.95 faux rings were not.)
Now, the Southern Charm beauty buff is trying something else that’s new. The only difference? This change-up is very, very real — but it’ll only take a new slick of polish or some good acetone to reverse it. In a recent Instagram post, Madison displayed her highly unexpected new manicure, declaring, “I don’t even recognize myself.”
Madison LeCroy’s “Short & Clear” Nails
If you scroll through recent photos of Madison and take a little extra care to zoom in on her hands (that’s not creepy, right?), you’ll spot a trend. In most photos, the Charleston salon owner has bubblegum-pink nails with a little length. But for her latest nail look, Hudson’s mama made a clear decision to go in a different direction.
In her June 15 Instagram Stories, Madison shared a look inside a cozy night with her son, Hudson. First, she showed her hand and Hudson’s, both clutching macaroni and cheese in wine glasses with chicken nuggets perched on the rim. “Hits different,” Madison quipped in her caption.
And speaking of different, her next Story showed a close-up of her hands. As she lay in bed watching TV with her little one, Madison held her nails toward the camera. Wait, where’d the pink go?
“Short [and] clear,” she explained in a caption. “I don’t even recognize myself.” Who knows what Madison’s next nail moves might be? It’s entirely possible that she’ll return to her pink roots the next time she needs a polish change. But for now, the Charm-er is giving this subtle style a whirl, and we have to hand it to her: This is the picture of glazed-doughnut chic!
Madison’s Strategic Use of Color
While the Charleston mama has clear nails at the moment, she has strategic pops of color throughout the rest of her beauty bag — and in her house! In a recent Instagram Story, Madison opened up about the pale-blue roof of her front porch.
Madison’s photo showed the light blue tint on her porch ceiling, which is courtesy of Benjamin Moore “Lookout Point.” To caption the photo, Madison wrote, “Fun fact of the day: Why paint your porch ceiling blue?”
Here’s why! Madison explained: “[A blue porch ceiling] brings good luck to the home and helps ward away evil spirits.” Apparently, a blue porch ceiling will also discourage wasps from building nests there.
