Madison LeCroy’s Son, Hudson, Had the Sweetest Reaction to Seeing Her Wedding Dress

Although Madison LeCroy was joined by her mom, her sister, and one of her matrons of honor when she tried on potential wedding dresses in New York City earlier this year, there was one other person she turned to for advice when it came time to make the final decision: her son, Hudson. 

“I let him go through my dresses and I showed him pictures,” the Southern Charm bride-to-be told BravoTV.com in March. However, when Hudson saw a photo of what will eventually be Madison’s wedding dress, it didn’t exactly catch his eye. “I don’t know if I told him it was the final. I think I was like in between two because I was just, like, swiping [through photos],” she explained. “I mean, if you can only imagine, there were probably, like, 400 of them. So I think I lost his attention by the third or fourth.”

When it came time to hear Hudson’s final thoughts on the matter, Madison shared, “I think honestly his comment was, ‘I like whatever you like.’”

However, the 9-year-old did have a strong opinion about one fashion feature. While showing Hudson one of her gown options, she excitedly declared, “Look at this dress, this has pockets!” to which he responded, “Why do you need pockets?” 

Although Madison tried on so many gorgeous options — including one by Carolina Herrera with a plunging neckline and, yes, pockets — her son’s comment stuck with her when making the choice. “I was even thinking about it after he said it. I was like, ‘What, am I gonna have lip gloss dripping down this white dress? No. Am I gonna have my cell phone in there? No,’” she said with a laugh. “I don’t need the pockets. He’s so right.”
