You Will Not Believe How Fancy Patricia Altschul's Toilet Is
The Southern Charm matriarch shared an intimate peek inside her powder room, and it's as elegant as you'd expect.
By now, we've established that life is rather fancy at chez Patricia Altschul. The Southern Charm matriarch lives in a historic mansion where magnolia trees flank the pool, cocktails are prepared by a butler (hi, Michael), and the patio is called a piazza. So if there's anywhere we'd expect to find a museum-worthy toilet, it's in Patricia's powder room — and a recent Instagram share did not disappoint.
In the post, the history buff shared a peek inside the dainty space. "When I did my powder room many years ago, I decided to dress it up with LA CHAISE PERCÉE," she wrote, referring to the wicker-chair-like-fixture that encloses her toilet. "I also put out different types of perfume, soap and hand lotions for guests to try."
In the video above, Patricia offers a peep at the chaise, which comes from 18th-century France. "Worthy of Louis the XV," she said then. Never one to mince her words, Cameran Eubanks added her own rousing endorsement of the toilet under Patricia's recent post. "When I tinkle on that thing I feel RICH," she wrote.
There's not just one glam loo in Patricia's estate. Upstairs, her owner's bathroom has a toilet enclosed in an elegant cabinet "so you don't see it."
