See Inside Patricia Altschul’s Massive Bathroom That She’s “Never Really Shown” Before
The Southern Charm matriarch’s expertly decorated bathroom is “unique for many reasons.”
Over the years, Southern Charm viewers have seen much of Patricia Altschul’s luxurious home, including the impressive library, gorgeous dining room, and elegant guest room. However, there’s one incredible room we’ve never had a close look at — until now.
“I’ve never really shown my bathroom before,” Patricia says in the video above before giving a tour of the expansive space. “It’s unique for many reasons.” (Press play on the video above to see the "unique" space.)
For starters, “Instead of having the toilet displayed, it is encased in what is called the cabinet,” she explains. “This one is a chinoiserie cabinet.” Additionally, the room, which is flooded with natural light thanks to several windows, has its very own fireplace. “This is a beautiful period mantelpiece,” she shares. “This was here from 1853. I can lie in the Jacuzzi, turn on the television, and turn on the fireplace with remote control.”
As Patricia showed in 2020, there are other stunning bathrooms in the home. In an Instagram post that displayed a very fancy toilet, Patricia explained: “When I did my powder room many years ago, I decided to dress it up with LA CHAISE PERCÉE. I also put out different types of perfume, soap, and hand lotions for guests to try.”
