Naomie Olindo Reveals the Hardest Part of Intermittent Fasting (It's Not Hunger)
Southern Charm's Naomie Olindo has good news and bad news about the intermittent-fasting diet.
Intermittent fasting — or what Heather Dubrow might call "interval eating" — is a popular trend among dieters everywhere, and certainly within the Bravo universe. By limiting eating to a few hours each day, Bravolevs such as Ryan Serhant and Cecil Whitmore claim they've gotten into fighting shape, and Southern Charm's Naomie Olindo has also given the diet plan a whirl.
Back in July, the L'abaye fashion site founder put in a plug for the eating plan on Instagram. "I started [intermittent fasting] and substituted my first meal of the day with a blender bomb smoothie ... and body fat MELTED off in a few months," she wrote then, to caption a photo of her fit frame in a bikini.
But, the Charm-er still admits that the plan has its drawbacks. In a recent "Ask Me Anything" session on Instagram Stories, she told her followers that the diet didn't result in fast weight loss. When a fan wrote in to ask how long Naomie was intermittently fasting till she "really saw results," she answered: "3 months. Results take frickin forever (especially for me) but SO worth it."
The fashion pro also shared her eating schedule. She usually fasts from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m., though she doesn't let herself get hungry for too long.
And of course, Naomie still sneaks in indulgences — cocktails, anyone? When a fan asked her what her drink of choice is "to dump on your head" these days, the Southern Charm pal quipped: "My classic is a vodka/soda/grapefruit but I'll settle for pretty much anything but water."
