Patricia Altschul Loads Up Her Shopping Cart With These Exact Items at Target and Costco: "I Get Great Bargains"

Southern Charm's Patricia Altschul is all about the big-box store. (Who knew?)

By Alesandra Dubin

When Patricia Altschul tweeted a short video clip that proved the Southern Charm matriarch had braved Costco on the "worst shopping day of the year," it surprised some who didn't expect to see her ilk in the big box store beloved by regular folk. (However, it also put her in excellent company among celebs who've been known to haunt the place: Think Real Housewives Erika Girardi and Tamra Judge.)

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Peacock and the Bravo App.

So when The Feast sat down with the kaftan purveyor in Los Angeles, we wanted to know if there are other big-box stores she frequents that might just surprise us.

Gold mine: "[Butler] Michael recently took me to Target and I was amazed because you could get beauty blenders for $7 instead of $20."

From there, Patricia went back up the food chain in terms of grocery indulgences — to a place sometimes known as Whole Paycheck. "I love Whole Foods. I go to Whole Foods once a week," she told us.

While there, she loads up on, "lots of fresh fruits and vegetables" — and meat. "I hate to admit it, but I’m still a carnivore," she told The Feast — given that her short stint as a vegan didn't go flawlessly. "Little petite filets, ground bison... and dog bones."

But she wasn't done gushing about Costco. It may not quite be "the happiest place on earth" for Patricia, as it is for fellow Bravo star Tamra, but it's up there. "I love Costco. I get great bargains there," she said. "I buy flowers. Actually I shop there with Carolyn Roehm, who is like the fanciest floral designer ever known. And she and I will go there and we buy champagne, roses, dog beds — it’s just amazing what you can get."
Her top tip? If you're throwing a party, Costco is the place to buy Dom Perignon in bulk and save about $30 per bottle.
