Adrienne Maloof: I Struggle with Working Mom Guilt

"Being a mom is the most rewarding and hardest job in the world," the RHOBH star says.

By Lauren Metz

Adrienne Maloof knows firsthand what it's like to carry a mother lode. "Being a mom is the most rewarding and hardest job in the world. I think my greatest success has been juggling a crowded business schedule with an active family life. It's exhausting, but nothing's more important than my kids," the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom admits to Babble. "At the same time, I've got this legacy of family business to carry on."

With the high stakes pressure of continuing the Maloof dynasty upon her petite shoulders, the mom of three young boys confides, "There's always that guilt that all working moms have – it's something I struggle with, but I know that everything will turn out all right at the end of the day."

Fortunately, Adrienne shares the home court with her loveable hubby Paul. And, years ago back in New Mexico, it was Adrienne's own father who first instilled her unshakable confidence and optimism.

"I'm all about empowering and supporting mothers in their business ventures and their family lives. I think that mothers by nature are more nurturing than fathers, but there are always exceptions. I was very fortunate to have an incredibly supportive father," the only daughter in a family of five says. "He believed in me and that I could do whatever my brothers could do or even better…There were never any limits placed on me."
