When Is Albie Manzo Planning to Have Kids?
Caroline Manzo's eldest son has put a lot of thought into this decision.
There's no question Albie Manzo loves being an uncle to sister Lauren Manzo Scalia's daughter Markie. The Manzo'd with Children cast member frequently shares photos of his niece on his Instagram account, and it's pretty clear that he finds her adorable. So does that mean that he's ready to have a few kids of his own?
Not so fast. Back in 2016, he shared that he and brother Chris Manzo viewed Lauren's daughter as a "test run" before having his own and it seems that the test is ongoing.
“[Markie]’s the best and that’s exactly why I’ve waited so long to have kids, because I know I got karma coming at me pretty hard for all things that I’ve done,” Albie told Page Six.
What kind of karma exactly does he mean? Well, for starters, his choice of holiday gifts is definitely not helping him in this situation.
“I’ve been joking around saying that I’m getting everyone pets this year because I’m trying to be low-key the uncle or older cousin that buys the gift that drives the parents insane,” he said. “So like, everyone gets drum sets. This year I might just show up with … I just might stock up on a bunch of puppies. I have no idea. I just, I have a lot of fun with trying to create an environment, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, that the kids have fun.”
Still, we're not totally convinced Uncle Albie isn't ready to make the transition to fatherhood. He did say, "I think the biggest reason I’m insanely amped up for Christmas this year as if I was a kid is just because of seeing [Markie's] reaction when we get her stuff.”
And he also has another reason to look forward to the next stage in his life: a rumored new girlfriend, to whom mom Caroline Manzo teased that he "might be getting engaged soon." And she's already fitting in with his family, even making the Manzo family Christmas photo this holiday season... and Albie even shared a sweet pic of the two at the tree, below.
