Alert Your BFFs: 'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce' Returns in December

Abby and the crew will face new challenges during #GG2D's sophomore season.

By Jocelyn Vena

Mark your calendars and call up your besties because Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce returns on Tuesday, December 1st at 10/9c. Self-help writer Abby McCarthy (played by Lisa Edelstein) is back for a sophomore season which will follow her as she heads back on the dating scene in her 40s. With a new gig as the "face of divroce" for the lifestyle website SheShe, Abby faces the challenge of having to keep her complicated relationship with her estranged husband, Jake (Paul Adelstein), under wraps. Even through the good and the bad, Abby always has her pals-- Delia (Necar Zadegan), Phoebe (Beau Garrett) and Jo (Alanna Ubach)-- to rely on.

Joinging the crew this season is a few new faces: Parks and Recreation alum Retta as Abby's rival at SheShe, Smash's Megan Hilty as Jo’s ex-husband Frumpkis (Maury Sterling) new wife, and Mark Valley as a charming TV personality, Dr. Harris, interested in Abby. Carrie Fisher will reprise her role as Abby’s book agent Cat. And playing Abby's parents will be Barry Bostwick and Lesley Ann Warren.
