How Alexis Bellino's Kid Mackenna Reacted to Her John Janssen Engagement (PHOTO)
The Real Housewives of Orange County friend Alexis Bellino's child had a very specific reaction to news of John Janssen proposing.
Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are officially engaged and their family members could not be happier for them.
After The Real Housewives of Orange County friend announced her engagement on Instagram last week, Alexis recently revealed that her teenage kid, Mackenna Bellino, is excited for her mom's next chapter. The mom of three took to her Instagram Story over the weekend, where she posted a photo of the gorgeous multicolored floral bouquet that Mackenna got for her after her big announcement.
"Thank you for the happy engagement bouquet you created, Kenna!" Alexis wrote over the photo, accompanied with the word "beautiful" and two pink heart emojis.
It is such a sweet gesture for Mackenna to do for her mom after she shared her big news with the world. In the caption of the Instagram post announcing her engagement, Alexis wrote that John was a gift from her late mother, Penelope, who died in 2023.
"Every moment together has been a gift," she wrote in the caption of the post. "I am so in love with you and the beautiful life we're building together with our kids."
Alexis Bellino's comments on blending her family with John Janssen
Alexis shares three teenaged kids — Miles, Mackenna, and James — with her ex-husband, Jim Bellino. In an interview with The Daily Dish ahead of the premiere of RHOC Season 18, Alexis said that all three of her kids live with her "full time." But, they get along with John and his kids quite nicely.
"We've acclimated all of our families together, including our dogs," she said, two months before their engagement. "We are moving in a direction of being in it for the long haul, so, it's exciting."
But, they were not living together before they got engaged. "I mean, we try to stay together when we can, but I have my three children who still live here full-time," she said. "We do try to stay together as much as possible, and we're together every day. I mean, there's not a day that we don't have lunch or get together or hang out."
Needless to say, it's been a big season of life for Alexis. On Aug. 23, she helped James get settled into his dorm room at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. Alexis revealed in the caption of the Instagram post detailing his move that she was "proud yet sad" and "excited" for James.
Three days earlier, Alexis posted a photo of her twins to Instagram before their first day of their junior year of high school. "I love every age but time is going too fast now," she wrote in the caption of the post.
