Andy Cohen Reveals the 5 WWHL Guests He Was the "Most Scared" Of
WWHL host Andy Cohen's list includes just one Bravolebrity — find out who.
Andy Cohen has hosted thousands of episodes of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, welcoming A-listers, politicians, world-class athletes, and many more to the Clubhouse since the show first premiered in 2009. However, he still gets nervous about his guests from time to time.
When The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon came to the Clubhouse on October 13, Andy counted down the top five guests he's been the "most scared" to have on the show (and, no, Jimmy wasn't one of them).
5. Shaquille O'Neal
"Coming in at No. 5, it's Shaq[uille O'Neal]," Andy said, before explaining that he wasn't sure if he would have the guts to ask the former NBA player an intimate question on the show. "Nevertheless, I persisted," Andy added.
"By the way, Shaq never came back," he shared later on in the episode. "Was it something I said?"
4. Mama Elsa Patton
Andy was also nervous to have The Real Housewives of Miami mom Elsa Patton on the show.
"No. 4 is the late great Mama Elsa because she had to be driven up to New York for the show, and we all wanted to make sure she was safe," Andy said about Marysol Patton's mother, who passed away in 2019. "We miss you, Mama Elsa."
3. Mariah Carey
The Grammy Award-winning songstress had a special request for Andy: that he swap chairs with her for the 2016 interview.
"I was so freaked out by my ability to host the show from a different chair, but when Mariah Carey asks you to swap chairs so she can show her good side, you say yes," Andy said on the episode. "And I was able to do it."
2. Mary M. Cosby
The only Bravolebrity to make Andy's list was The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Mary Cosby.
"Our No. 2 is Mary M. Cosby. She's as unpredictable as her on-again, off-again love of filet-o-fish sandwiches," Andy said, referring to the RHOSLC Season 4 moment when Mary took the sprinter van to McDonald's instead of participating in a group activity with the other ladies. "We love her for it."
1. Oprah Winfrey
The powerhouse host and multihyphenate is the guest who intimidated the dad of two the most. Oprah appeared on WWHL back in 2013.
"And the No. 1 guest I was scared to host in the Clubhouse was Oprah Winfrey because if an icon like Oprah doesn't make you nervous, you might be a zombie..." Andy explained on the episode, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post.
