Tori Spelling, take note: Andy Cohen is sorry. Like, really sorry. The Watch What Happens Live host recalled a recent miscommunication with the actress when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (September 30), and it all goes back to her recent incident at Benihana.
"You know, actually, something happened recently where — did you hear the story of Tori Spelling getting burned at Benihana? It's actually not funny, but I made a joke about it – I made like a chicken cacciatore joke about it, which is not good," he said. "I love Tori Spelling, she's great, she's been on the show… she emailed me and she goes, 'Dude, just so you know, I really like you, you seem like a great guy, but this is not funny and you kind of made fun of me and I feel bad,' and went into a very long email about how serious it was and all this stuff."
But, it didn't end there. "I emailed her back. I said, 'I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, and I'm so sorry I told all those jokes,' " he said. "At the bottom I said – 'cause I thought it said in the email that she hadn't been able to eat in a week after the burn – and I said, 'And also, 'EAT SOMETHING.' She emailed me back: 'Now you're making fun of my appearance?' And then I went back and read the email and she hadn't said anything about not being able to eat! I made it up – it was terrible. So I emailed her back and I felt so bad. I'm codependent and I don't like to hurt anybody's feelings, so I emailed her back and I said, 'I'm so sorry I misread the email!' It was terrible."
Turns out Wacha also recently had a celebrity encounter that went South fast. "Wacha's so great, Wacha's really sweet. He comes to my show with me. He bit Rick Springfield last week though," he said (a clip from the episode if below). "I guess Rick got a little rough and he pulled his ear and he doesn't like [that]. it was terrible and I was doing something else when it happened." The moment resulted in a photo of Andy's beloved pet "in this shame spiral after."
