Here's the Real Reason D'Andra Simmons Didn't Attend Andy Cohen's Baby Shower
The timing was "horrible" for The Real Housewives of Dallas entrepreneur.
Eight months may have passed since Andy Cohen's baby shower in January, but we still can't get over just how many Real Housewives gathered under one roof for the wildest celebration ever. Ah, to have been a fly on the wall!
We're not the only ones who are bummed that we didn't have the chance to dance on tables with Lisa Rinna, either. D'Andra Simmons unfortunately had to miss out on the event due to some poor timing. "I planned to have a facelift — that's why I didn't go to Andy's baby shower — January 8," The Real Housewives of Dallas entrepreneur told The Daily Dish during an interview in New York City on Wednesday. "I got the invitation on the day after, and I thought, 'Oh my god, I can't believe this! The timing is horrible!'"
D'Andra explained that by the time Andy's baby shower would have taken place just a couple of weeks after her surgery, she would not have been ready to party it up with her fellow Housewives. "It takes a while to, you know, look like yourself again," she said.
RHOD was well represented at Andy's baby shower, however. LeeAnne Locken, Kameron Westcott, Brandi Redmond, and Stephanie Hollman were all in attendance to help celebrate the arrival of Andy's first child, Benjamin, who was born on February 4.
Clearly, a little R&R was worth it, because, like, have you seen how gorgeous D'Andra looks this season of RHOD?
Luckily, there will be plenty more opportunities for D'Andra to hang out with the Housewives. Why, just this week, she's been painting the Big Apple red while in town for New York Fashion Week, running into everyone, including her RHOD crew, Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Melissa Gorga, and Margaret Josephs.
