Andy Cohen Reveals Which Housewife Drastically Changed His Opinion of Her at a Reunion
“I left that reunion like, ‘Oh my god, I am so sold on her,'" said the WWHL host.
No matter what kind of a season a cast member has had, the reunion at the end of it all can be pivotal. Whether it brings closure, squashes misunderstandings, or sheds light on new details, it’s nearly impossible to walk away from a Real Housewives reunion unchanged, and according to Andy Cohen, a reunion revelation once saved a cast member from losing her job.
On the September 16 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, in a clip you can watch above, Andy was asked if his opinion of a Housewife has ever changed after sitting across from them during a reunion.
“It has,” said Andy, who then went on to explain that Porsha Williams once had a reunion moment that had a significant effect on him.
“Going into her first reunion, there was a dialogue about whether she was going to be picked up for a second season. And she was so great at that first reunion—she had just broken up [with] Kordell, that marriage had just fizzled, and she started preaching at that reunion and I think all the producers saw a side of her that we didn’t know existed,” said Andy. “I left that reunion like, ‘Oh my god, I am so sold on her.’”
Andy explained that although Porsha was able to potentially change the course of her The Real Housewives of Atlanta journey, other ‘Wives have-not been as lucky.
“There have been certain women coming to a reunion, not really realizing that they were on the bubble, and they have either sealed the deal to stay or to go,” he said. “It has happened kind of in both directions.”
