Are Below Deck Mediterranean's Aesha Scott and Jack Stirrup Still Together?

The Below Deck Med couple's story got even wilder after Season 4.

By Laura Rosenfeld

Aesha Scott and Jack Stirrup definitely weren't a will-they-or-won't-they kind of couple in Season 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean. From the moment these two struck up an adorable friendship, we had a feeling that things would quickly become flirty and romantic between them.

And we were right! It wasn't long before the two went out for a lovely dinner, moved in together, Aesha accepted Jack's proposal to be his girlfriend, and they finally did the deed.

Things were still hot between Jack and Aesha by the time this season of Below Deck Med wound down. They disembarked the Sirocco together, eager to see if their relationship had legs on land.

Unfortunately, Aesha and Jack's fairytale romance did not have a happy ending. "No, we split up," Jack shared an update on their relationship during the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4 After Show (clip above). "To be honest, when I got home, I just thought it was a bit of a forced situation, and it wasn't reality. I thought about it all and called it a day."

However, Aesha has a different, more heartbreakingly detailed version of their breakup. "We left the boat, and then he was like, 'Oh, I really want you to come to London with me and meet my family.' But then he's like, 'Don't book a ticket 'til I've gone to this wedding, because we've got family staying, and it's really busy, and I don't know what date we'll have a room for, but still come,'" Aesha recalled in the Below Deck Med After Show.

"And then the next thing I know, because I noticed that his then — I didn't realize — suddenly girlfriend again, was watching my Instagram Stories. So I went and looked at her Stories, and I see that she's on the f--king train with him to the wedding and at the wedding with him. And I was just like, 'Holy s--t, how can you be this f--king mean to someone?' It was just such a stab in the back."

She said that she then called Jack to break things off, he confirmed that he had been seeing his girlfriend while he and Aesha were still together. "Oh, I was so hurt. I was so pissed off. Like, really, really hurt, just because I knew that we weren't gonna be anything, you know, because I didn't want him to be my boyfriend. I knew that we weren't right. Like, we clicked so well, but I just knew that we weren't right. But we still had such a strong friendship," Aesha told The Daily Dish during an interview in July. "And so I was gonna do it the adult way and go see him in London and in person be like, 'We're not really gonna do this, right? Let's just be friends.' He was kind of thinking the same thing, but instead of being an adult about it, he was a coward, which he knows he is. He knows that he is. And so instead he just went home and couldn't face it."

Both Jack and Aesha confirmed that they haven't spoken since that phone call where they broke up. "I know through [Travis Michalzik] that he feels really, really bad about it and wants to get in touch and apologize and let me be angry at him," Aesha said. "The chick that he's with is a f--king bitch. She like messaged me, being like, 'Stop calling my boyfriend.' I was like, 'I'm f--king calling him to break up with him because I don't know what's going on.' And so if he's this weak, cowardly kind of guy — which I love him, but he is — if you've got a woman breathing down your neck being like, 'Don't you f--king talk to her or we're done kind of thing,' then I can understand how he cowered to that."

Aesha added, "But joke's gonna be on him because she's gonna have to watch us be all romantic all season. So I don't think they're gonna last through the season, to be honest."

The second stew clarified that she believes Jack and his girlfriend broke up before he joined the Below Deck Med crew this season and then "got back together very quickly" once he returned home to England. "I wasn't upset because of us not being together; I was just really, really upset because we were just genuinely such good friends, and I couldn't believe that a friend could treat another friend like that because he really did treat me like s--t afterwards," Aesha told The Daily Dish. "But despite that, I don't want to be too harsh on him because I do know that he's got a good heart. He just made bad decisions."

Aesha said during the Below Deck Med After Show that she wishes Jack had just confronted her about rekindling his romance with his girlfriend. "He doesn't deal with things like adults should deal with things; he runs away from things. I think he just gets too caught up in the moment, and he doesn't think about the future and the consequences," she said. "And then he probably went home and was like, 'Oh, f--k, that's right. I've got this other girl here.' Like, 'what have I done' kind of thing... If he said like, 'Oh, let's not do anything.' But instead of that, he was just like, 'I'm just gonna run away from it and bury my head and pretend it hasn't happened.'"

Jack said during the Below Deck Med After Show that he would like to be friends with Aesha again someday. "I'd like to be, but obviously it's a hard situation to be in, isn't it?" he said.

Aesha told The Daily Dish that she is also remaining optimistic about her and Jack's future friendship. But she said she needs Jack to take responsibility for his actions first. "Yeah, I hope we can, because obviously, he definitely owes me a massive apology, and I'm gonna rip him to pieces if we talk. But then after that, I hope that we can just put it at peace because it wasn't just on the show; we genuinely did have such a great friendship. I know he thinks that as well, so it would be really cool if we could just put it to peace," she shared. "But it's not like I dwell on it. I never think about it. It wasn't until Trav called me the other day and was like, 'Oh, he wants to apologize,' I was like, 'Oh, well, good.'"

Aesha said in a video in her September 17 Instagram Story that she thought her breakup with Jack was "truly for the best." "I want to go home and start my life in New Zealand, he wants to be over in Europe, and he's got all of his life in London. So, you know, you can't be long distance from bloody, literally the other side of the world," she explained. "So that in itself was enough. It wasn't meant to be."

She noted that continuing a charter season fling on land is never easy. "I think when you're in yachting, you're in such a bubble, and then you leave and you get into your real life and you kind of have to think about the logistics of everything," Aesha said. "It always changes when you leave a boat."

Even though Aesha's relationship with Jack didn't end the way she had hoped, the second stew said that she'll look back on their time together fondly. "And don't worry, also, there's absolutely no hard feelings there," she shared. "Nothing but love and good memories."
