There's an Intriguing New Development with Bugsy Drake and Alex Radcliffe

A lot of flirting went on between Bugsy Drake and Alex Radcliffe in Season 5 of Below Deck Mediterranean but the closest their relationship came to romance was just some smooches in the club. However, a recent photo of the two on Instagram has fans wondering if The Wellington yachties have finally crossed over into more-than-just-friends territory.

Bugsy and Alex reunited in Florida earlier this fall, and the deckhand documented their catch-up sesh on Instagram on September 30. The snap shows Bugsy and Alex looking adorable together while cheers-ing a glass of wine.

So, when Bugsy appeared alongside her fellow Season 5 stews Jess More and Aesha Scott on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on October 12, one fan wanted to know what the latest was on her and Alex, in light of this flirty photo.

"With regards to Alex and I, we are both obviously working on opposite ends of the world, kind of. I'm still working on a boat," Bugsy explained in the above clip, before providing quite a tease: "But we met up, feelings came back, and we're kind of just seeing where to from here. We're really good friends. But yeah, we'll see."

Andy Cohen, who admitted on the show that he isn't exactly rooting for Bugsy and Alex given the bromance that has sparked between him and the deckhand, isn't so sure a relationship is in the cards for these two. "It's not happening. I don't believe anything's gonna happen," Andy told Bugsy on WWHL. "If it didn't happen on the boat, it's not gonna happen."

Prior to their recent reunion, Alex told The Daily Dish during an interview over the phone in July that living and working in different parts of the world would make any sort of romantic relationship with Bugsy difficult. "Me and her have a great relationship," Alex said. "We’re good friends. We stay in touch very regularly."

When asked if he would ever pursue a relationship with Bugsy in the future, Alex said, "I wouldn’t say yes, I wouldn’t say no. Life would just have to go on, and we’d have to hang out more outside of the show."

We'll see Bugsy and Alex (virtually) back together when they come together with the rest of The Wellington crew for the two-part Below Deck Med Season 5 reunion, which kicks off on Monday, October 19 at 9/8c.
