After nearly three years with Justin Reese, Kelsey Nichols gave her boyfriend an ultimatum of sorts in the Southern Charm New Orleans Season 2 finale, and Justin promised that he would propose to his longtime love by July 1, 2019.
Well, that date has come and gone, and Justin has still not put a ring on it. So, what does that mean for the future of the couple's relationship?
Justin and Kelsey may not be engaged yet, but we are happy to report that they are still very much together. The Southern Charm New Orleans couple, who celebrated their third anniversary in April, has continued to live together and post the most romantic photos with each other past that July 1 deadline at formal events, on date nights, and while braving Hurricane Barry together.
They have also continued to be proud parents to their fur baby Roux, although Kelsey didn't seem to be too pleased with Justin after he took their dog to get groomed earlier this week.
Justin and Kelsey's fellow New Orleans Charmer Barry Smith recently explained to Personal Space why he thinks Justin hasn't proposed to Kelsey yet. "[Justin's] very goal-oriented, just like all of us. I think he really truly loves Kelsey," Barry said. "He’s trying to base it on how well he can take care of her and how many NFL clients he has, how many lawsuits he’s closed."
We'll have to wait and see if marriage is in the cards for Justin and Kelsey. However, Tamica Lee doesn't believe we'll be seeing these two walk down the aisle anytime soon. "He will never pop the question," Tamica said during the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show on July 21. "And I will eat crow if he does."
