Ariana Madix Is "Ready" to Buy Her Own Home Nearly a Year After Tom Sandoval Split

Ariana Madix is ready to open a new door, so to speak. 

Ahead of the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere, the Single AF Cocktails author shared an encouraging update on her living situation with Tom Sandoval. The former couple purchased a Valley Village home in 2019 and have continued to live under the same roof ever since... despite their shocking breakup back in March. 

Although the arrangement is far from ideal, Ariana said she and her ex have successfully maintained a “no-contact policy," thanks in large part to a third-party communication agreement and her busy schedule, which has included everything from major endorsement deals to TV gigs to a new restaurant venture.

But as she approaches the one-year mark of her highly publicized split, Ariana revealed she's "really motivated” to buy a new property.

“I want things a certain way when I think it’s the right time,” Ariana told People magazine during a Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere event. “So I’m ready. I want to own my own home.”

Ariana reiterated that the multi-million-dollar abode was “the last thing” tying her old life with Tom, whom she dated for roughly nine years. However, she doesn't want to give up the property without a financial return. 

“I’m just really motivated to be able to get my investment that I made into the house out so that I can make another investment and be able to fully just move on from being tied to that,” she said.

Ariana will tackle the house drama in the upcoming season of Vanderpump Rules, which premieres Tuesday, January 30 on Bravo. A sneak peek of Season 11 Episode 1 showed Ariana discussing the Valley Village home with her castmate/business partner Katie Maloney.

“What I think is psychotic is that he wants to buy me out and stay here,” Ariana said.

“If he has that kind of money, [he should] go buy something else!” Katie replied.

“I’m sorry but then you don’t have to move but I do?” Ariana added.

The Valley Village property is described as a modern farmhouse-style home with five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a 6-foot waterfall in the backyard pool. Ariana and Tom reportedly paid a little over $2 million for the home and began renovating it in 2020.

Ariana shared more details about her living situation in the December 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying she wasn’t spending much time at the house because she was busy with her TV dance competition.

“I, for the most part, have been in an Airbnb with my dog and my cat and some of my things, but I regularly go back and forth,” she told the host. “I’m working on the situation with the ownership of the house. I would love for that to be resolved quickly.”
