Ashley Darby Reveals a Side of Karen Huger We’ve Never Seen Before
It sounds as though these RHOP friends have a pretty hilarious history together.
The trip the ladies took to Monique Samuels’ lake house on the September 13 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac was anything but uneventful. From T’Challa keeping everyone on their toes to the husbands offering up their best impressions of their wives, there were plenty of hilarious moments. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home, Ashley Darby weighed in on one of the funniest memories from the trip: Karen Huger enjoying some shots of Fireball. Although It was a side of the grande dame that viewers rarely see, Ashley offered up a surprising revelation about her friend.
When asked if she has ever seen “Karen get as drunk as she did” during the episode, Ashley confirmed that she actually has, and more than once, at that.
“Karen, back in the days of our friendship, our early friendship, Karen used to drunk dial me in the afternoon, and we would have some funny little kiki moments,” Ashley explained in the clip above. “She is hysterical, and I’m glad she’s finally letting loose and letting everybody else see.”
“She’s very open this season,” agreed Andy.
Karen throwing back shots wasn’t the only time we’ve seen the grande dame open up as the life of the party this season. During the August 23 episode, she threw an incredibly homecoming party to celebrate her return to Potomac, which will certainly go down as one of the best bashes of the show.
