Austen Kroll Teases Tension Between Girlfriend Madison LeCroy and Shep Rose: "They Just Don't Get Along"

She calls Shep Rose a "bad influence" on Austen Kroll in the Southern Charm Season 6 trailer.

Who Is Austen Kroll's Girlfriend Madison LeCroy?

It's not always easy meeting your significant other's friends, especially when that friend group is the Southern Charm crew. But that hasn't necessarily been the case for Austen Kroll's new girlfriend, Madison LeCroy, who we met in the Season 6 premiere.

How to Watch

Madison actually seems to have hit it off with many of the Charmers. Why, she's been friends with Naomie Olindo and Patricia Altschul before she even started dating Austen.

However, it seems like Madison hasn't been able to charm one Charleston denizen: Shep Rose. Shep expressed his disappointment over how Madison has been handling some things early on in her relationship with Austen during the Season 6 premiere. We also see Madison tell Shep she thinks he's "a bad influence on Austen" in the trailer for this season.

Austen filled The Daily Dish in on the kind of dynamic we can expect to see between Madison and Shep during an interview prior to the start of this season of Southern Charm, which you can view, above. "They just don't get along. People don't really go up against Shep much," he explained. "A lot of people let a lot of things slide, but Madison does not. She's very like, 'You come at me, and I'll take your legs out from under you.'"

So about that "bad influence" comment Madison made... "She thinks he's an awful influence on me. No girl I've ever dated has liked Shep," Austen told The Daily Dish. "He's the perennial bachelor. You go out with Shep, and they're like, 'What are you doing tonight, chasing women?' So yeah, she thinks that he's a bad influence on me."

But Austen insisted that's not at all what his friendship with Shep is about; their camaraderie goes much deeper. "I can understand how people can perceive it as very surface type, like they go out, they get drunk together, they chase women, they go home, wake up, repeat. It's not the truth. I think that [Madison] knows that I, of anybody, of anybody, I have the hardest time saying no to Shep," he said. "So if he's like, 'All right, man, I'm right near your house. You want to meet up for a drink?' And I could be in my PJs and be like, 'All right, fine, let's do this.' So she sees that, and she's not happy about it [laughs]."

As we'll see this season, Madison is never shy about sharing her honest opinion, according to Austen. "When it comes to telling you how it is, she's, like, not gonna hold back. So you try and get in the way of what she wants to accomplish, you're gonna catch a mouthful, that's for sure," Austen shared. "God, I love her, but man, is she tough."
