Lewis Wants to “Slyly” Tell Faye to Stop Doing This on Below Deck Adventure

In a Below Deck Adventure preview, Faye asks for help in the pantry, but Lewis is reluctant because his team is already shorthanded.

Lewis Lupton may be a deckhand down on Below Deck Adventure, but that won’t stop chief stew Faye Clarke from asking him for assistance with drink orders.

As fans will remember, Captain Kerry Titheradge offered deckhand Kyle Dickard the chance to resign after he threatened to “tussle” with his fellow deckhand and roommate Nathan Morley on the November 15 episode. Once the Texan left the boat, Lewis’ team was left shorthanded — and they’ll stay a man down until Kyle’s replacement arrives.

In a preview of the November 29 episode (“Under the Bubbles”), Faye’s interior team — which consists of herself, Oriana Schneps, and Kasie Faddah — becomes overwhelmed when the charter guests request multiple different types of drinks at once.

In the video above, Faye radios Lewis to ask if he can spare a deck team member for some assistance. While Lewis initially complies with Faye’s request by sending Michael Gilman down to the stew pantry to help (Nathan also lends a hand), as the day goes on, he gets more and more irritated by the frequent radio calls.

“Us girls could do with a hand,” Faye radios while the deckhands are eating. “Just the pantry.”

Lewis tells Nathan and Michael to keep eating, because they won’t be able to finish their meals if they rush off to help Faye.

“If the stews ask you to do anything else, just radio me and ask,” the bosun adds. “Maybe that’ll get the message to them. I just want to slyly tell them that we’ve got s--t to do as well.”

In an interview, Lewis says that Faye is trying to add more work for his team members, who are already stretched thin.

“Faye already knows I’m a deckhand down, and it’s a bit bloody presumptuous of her to think she can keep stealing my deckhands whenever she wants,” he explains.

In the closing seconds of the clip, Faye overhears Lewis, and she tells him that she “didn’t get that much [help] earlier” from the deckhands.

Will the department heads get on the same page, or will this disagreement be the beginning of an awkward situation aboard Mercury?
