Below Deck Med Alum Alex Radcliffe Just Revealed Some Big Career News
Below Deck Med Season 5’s lead deckhand says he’s “excited for the new chapter” of his life.
Below Deck Mediterranean alum Alex Radcliffe didn’t have to wait until the new year to start a new chapter. On Wednesday, December 21, he shared a major career development with his Instagram followers.
“Excited for the new chapter in my life becoming a boat broker for [Monahan’s Marine],” Alex captioned the post, which he geotagged in Weymouth, Massachusetts. After explaining the services he offers, the Below Deck Med Season 5 lead deckhand wrote, “Tis the season for a [motorboat].”
After fellow Below Deck Med alum Hannah Ferrier applauded him for “kicking goals,” Alex replied that he’s “still babysitting soon.” The mom to 2-year-old Ava hilariously responded, “Perfect! As soon as she can look after herself you’re on!”
The jokes continued when their fellow yachtie Jessica More chimed in: “Bout time you got a job… jk, crush it buddy!” Of course, Alex appreciated her good-natured ribbing, writing back that it’s “been too long,” along with a crying-laughing emoji. Meanwhile, Below Deck Med’s Julia d’Albert Pusey also sent her congratulations in another comment.
Though Hannah jokingly questioned his babysitting skills, Alex has been getting some practice at fatherhood. Earlier this year, he revealed that he and his girlfriend, Marissa, had welcomed an adorable Labrador retriever puppy named Cooper to their family.
In November, he even had a “proud dad moment” when Cooper turned 8 months old. “I realized he’s not as dumb as I thought,” Alex wrote alongside an Instagram video of his pup going through an obstacle course. “I decided now going forward he’s going to be a dog gold medalist in 2024.”
These days, it sure seems like things are smooth sailing for Alex.
