The Below Deck Mediterranean deckhand got real during a WWHL game.
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7 has yet to wrap, but deckhand Courtney Veale is already looking to the future — at least that was the case during her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
During a game of “How Do They Stew?” Courtney was tasked with assigning the interior Home crew — made up of chief stew Natasha Webb and second stews Kyle Viljoen and Natalya Scudder — various superlatives, including the title of who she’d never want to work with again.
Her answer? Natasha. “She just has a different kind of chief stew work ethic [than] what I’ve ever worked with before,” Courtney explained after Andy appeared surprised by her answer. “And obviously, there was a lot of drama going on.”
Courtney didn’t go into details about said drama, but much of Natasha’s time as chief stew has been marred by her complicated situation with chef Dave White. The two were romantically involved during a yachting job prior to Season 7, and despite Natasha’s desire to keep their history a secret aboard the Home, their fellow crew members eventually found out.
Natasha also found herself occasionally clashing with Natalya, with whom Courtney had become close friends. “Nat’s very versatile. She kind of jumps from either one, and Kyle did sometimes — I don’t know, I’ve just never worked with a chief stew with the same kind of work ethic as Tash. But she was dealing with a lot of pressure and stress, so maybe that has something to do with it.”
